Next NFL Head Coach Fired Odds: Only A Matter Of Time

Matt Eberflus is the betting favorite to be the next head coach fired, even ahead of Doug Pederson. Is it justified? Chris Vasile breaks it all down below.

We are now into Week 12 of the NFL season and there are a few coaches who could find themselves in the unemployment line sooner rather than later.

Favorites To Be The Next NFL Head Coach Fired

Matt Eberflus (-150)

To say things have not gone smoothly during the Matt Eberflus tenure would be an understatement. The Chicago Bears own a combined 20-41 record entering Week 12 of this season, and most of the blame has fallen on Eberflus’ shoulders.

He’s done very little this year to help Caleb Williams develop into the franchise QB the Bears are expecting him to be, and with every passing game, the effort level dips, almost as if the players have completely given up on their head coach. It’s no surprise he’s the betting favorite to be the next head coach fired.

Doug Pederson (+120)

Doug Pederson

If there’s any current Jacksonville Jaguars that has nine lives, it’s Doug Pederson. Somehow, some way, this guy still has a job, despite owning the league’s worst record at 2-9.

The Jaguars are sо bad, that they have two separate losing streaks оf 4+ games. Many thought the team’s loss tо Chicago іn London would be the final straw, but here we are, still talking about Pederson and his inability tо get the most out оf a half-decent offensive unit.

Brian Daboll (+350)

While I’m not calling Brian Dabol a good coach by any stretch, the fact that the New York Giants signed Daniel Jones to a four-year $160 million extension while letting Saquon Barkley walk in free agency would hamper any coach’s progress.

The team is a dumpster fire from the top down, and I’m not sure how much blame should be placed on Daboll’s shoulders.
